No. Billpal only accesses invoice and receipt attachments from your inbox. We never read or store the content of your emails, only the attachment files themselves plus minimal metadata (such as message ID and attachment ID) to avoid importing the same document twice.

No. Billpal never stores your bank credentials, and access is handled entirely by certified third-party banking providers. The connection is read-only: we only sync your transaction history. We cannot move money, initiate payments, or edit transactions in your bank account. Unlike other AI agents with open-ended tool access, Billpal has no capability to act on your account in any way. That is a deliberate design choice, not a limitation.
Unlike Wave, Xero, or QuickBooks, Billpal wasn't built for accountants. There's no chart of accounts, no double-entry bookkeeping, no learning curve. Just the things you actually need: it collects invoices automatically, matches them to bank transactions, and keeps everything tidy for your CPA – so you spend less time on paperwork and more time on your business.

Billpal only handles the tedious data collection side: capturing invoices and receipts from your email and automatically matching them to your bank transactions, not filing your taxes, generating a P&L, or producing a balance sheet. At tax time, export a clean CSV and hand it to your CPA. Instead of a shoebox of receipts, they get neatly organized, reconciled data. Billpal just makes both of your lives easier.
Any invoice beyond the 30 included in your plan is charged at $0.99 each. There is no monthly rollover of unused invoices. If you regularly process more, you can buy discounted credit packs for overages. These credit packs are one-time payments (credits do not expire).
